Daniel Crawford, CEO and founder of axial3D, utilizes his academic and professional background in Medical Visualization and Biomedical Engineering to make 3D printing in medicine accessible to all. Formed in 2015, axial3D provides easy access to 3D printed models of patient anatomy for clinicians globally, making it as routine as 3D imaging for complex cases. 3D printed anatomical models offer higher surgical standards, increased multidisciplinary communication, and elevated patient care.

Under Daniel’s leadership, axial3D has seen significant year on year growth, both in staffing, and new customer accounts. Working with leading healthcare systems customers globally, such as Barts Health NHS Trust, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, and Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, axial3D is committed to driving adoption and increased utilization.

axial3D works with providers spanning the adoption cycle, from hospitals with a fully functioning print lab to those who have never used 3D printing before axial3D has developed a solution for whatever stage of the 3D printing journey that customers are on.

In terms of recognition, axial3D has received TCT’s Healthcare Application of the Year and Highly Commended Software Award, Irish Medtech Association’s Emerging Medtech Company of the Year, and NVIDIA’s top ten AI startups of 2018.

At the LIFE 4.0 conference Daniel will present the technology behind 3D printed replica organs.
